About Me

The goal for Navigate BC is to become the best search engine for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

You are either a Business Central user or developer looking for information.

Today, you are probably using Google to search for information. So are we. But we target the search towards websites that are relevant for Business Central. We do this by using the Google Programmable Search Engine.

Our primary search site is currently Microsoft Learn, then we have extended the search to include specific bloggers, GitHub code and stackoverflow.
It is possible that we are missing out on important sites. We will try to add more sites as we go along.

To use Navigate BC, you need to create an account and sign in. This service is currently free of charge, but we may introduce a subscription fee in the future.
There are some reasons for this:

First of all, we want to make you more efficent and focused on your work. This is accomplished by providing you with the best search results and removing the noise from adds.
This will allow you to save your searches and keep your search history.
The fee will cover our expenses to the Google Programmable Search Engine service and the hosting of this site.
This should also help us improve the service and add new features over time.
We also consider expanding with a newsletter and a blog in the future.

Security and Intended use

Part of our search results come from the Google Programmable Search Engine. For you security, we have enabled SafeSearch for all searches.

The service is intended for Business Central professionals. Misuse of the service may result in your account being deleted.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Finn Pedersen France, its contractors, contributors, licensors, and partners, and their respective directors, officers, employees and agents ("Indemnified Parties") from and against any and all third party claims and expenses, including attorneys' fees, arising out of or related to your use of the Services.

Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITH ALL FAULTS. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FINN PEDERSEN FRANCE AND THE INDEMNIFIED PARTIES HEREBY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES THAT THE SERVICES ARE FREE OF DEFECTS, MERCHANTABLE, FIT FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGING. Modifications to Terms

Finn Pedersen France reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will post the revised Terms on our website. Your continued use of the Services after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Denmark, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue to be valid and enforceable.

Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Finn Pedersen France regarding the Services. In the case of any conflict between these Terms and any translated version, the English version shall prevail.

Privacy Policy

We will always respect your privacy.

When using Navigate-BC, you can be sure that we only store the information you see.

Here is a brief overview of your privacy:

We don't store your IP address.
We don't store any information that can be used to fingerprint your device, browser etc.
We use HTTPS encryption everywhere.

We use Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to track usage of the site. This is a very common tool used by most websites to track usage statistics. We use this information to improve the site and make it easier to use. We do not share this information with anyone else.

What we store:

When you create an account, we store your email address and a hash of your password. We use this information to authenticate you when you sign in. Providing your name is optional.

When you perform a search, we store the text you searched for and the results returned from the search.

This information is private to you, but also visible to the administrators of the site.

Access to be forgotten

You can delete your account at any time from the Edit User page. This will delete all information we have stored about you.

When you modify a search, all previous information about the search is deleted. This means that if you do not want to keep a search history, you can just reuse the same search over and over again.

When you delete a search, all information about the search is deleted.
